Old Malibu Joe was an Italian immigrant from Sicily. He was a regular fixture here in the community in the 70's and 80's. He was very friendly and pleasent to everyone and would never accept charity. You could always find him walking with his bike down Surfrider Beach or watching the Little League games at the baseball fields. He loved watching and would usually stay all day. Joe died in 1988.
